The Heathman Lodge has the ambience of a rustic mountain lodge, but offers a convenient location in a business area near downtown Vancouver and Portland. Thick timber posts, wood paneled walls, and a dugout canoe create a decidedly Northwestern look in the two story lobby. Another dugout canoe is suspended over the hotel's indoor pool. A spa tub and sauna are also on site. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available in the lobby.
The hotel has an indoor pool, spa tub, sauna, 24 hour fitness room, and discounted passes at The Hoop, a fitness center with basketball court about two blocks away.
Vancouver's Discovery Loop Trail, less than a 10 minute drive from the hotel, is 2.3 miles long. It winds through the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site, Officers Row, and downtown Vancouver before linking to the Waterfront Renaissance Trail along the Colombia River.
