TURN RIGHT OUT OF THE AIRPORT AND FOLLOW HIGHWAY TO PORT DOUGLAS. APPROXIMATELY 50 MINUTES. ALMOST AT THE TOP OF AUSTRALIA ON THE RIGHT AND AT THE BASE OF THE POINTY BIT. ON APPROACH FROM THE SOUTH, IF YOU RUN INTO A RAINFOREST CALLED THE DAINTREE, THEN YOU HAVE GONE TO FAR. IF ON THE OTHER HAND YOU DONT NOTICE THE RAINFOREST AND JUST KEEP GOING, WHAT LOOKS LIKE AN ENORMOUS SWIMMING POOL, AND PAPUA NEW GUINEA WILL BE DEAD GIVEAWAYS THAT YOU NEED TO TURN SOUTH. LOCATED 48.5 MINUTES NORTH OF CAIRNS AIRPORT YOU WILL FIND PORT DOUGLAS.
